Rose Vera Smith, 79, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:57 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 30, 1930 in Brockton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Ralph and Melina (Lombardo) Macrina.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield. She was active in Bible study fellowship and was a former pink lady at Bloomington Hospital.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Howard Smith, whom she married Sept. 6, 1953; children, Howard Smith Jr. of Nashville, Ind. and Kathleen Drake of Lansing, Kan.; one brother, Vincent Macrina of Gaithersburg, Md.; and her grandchildren, Abigail Smith and Andrew H. Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one-hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home.
