Brenda Cross, 55, of Jasonville, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 9, 1954 in Linton, the daughter of Clarence "Buck" and Julia Lillian (Davies) Cross.
She was a CNA at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center for 36 years and graduated from Shakamak High School in 1973. Brenda was dedicated to her family and her work at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, and a fan of Shakamak sporting events and the Indianapolis Colts. She also had a love of writing poetry.
Survivors include: her mother, Julia Lillian (Davies) Cross; an aunt, Artabell Logston of Florida; an uncle, Wayne Williams of Jasonville; cousins, Karen Williams of Jasonville, John Williams of Dugger, Norman Williams of Martinsville, Gerrie Watson of Linton and Lori Markle of Linton; a close friend, Suzanne Keller of Jasonville
She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Robert "Bob" Cross
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridan Street, Jasonville.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
