He was born July 29, 1949, in Linton, the son of William Dean and Mary M. (James) Force.
He was a journeyman lineman and a member of IBEW Local 1393 in Indianapolis. He enjoyed playing his guitar, gardening and spending time outdoors with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Melody K. (Keller) Force, of Jasonville, whom he married Feb. 10, 1973; a son, Shane (Sarah) Force of Woodlawn, TN; two daughters, Kerry (Jeff) Baxter of Jasonville and Amy Force (Steve Barnett) of Linton; a brother, Dwight Osha, Jr. of Indianapolis; two sisters, Angie Tennant of Linton and Annella Robertson of Plainville; five grandchildren, Blaine, Jarred and Shaena Force, Brooklyn and Owen Baxter, and a soon-to-be newborn, Hudson Barnett.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Dean Force;, his mother, Mary M. Osha; his step-father, Dwight Osha; and infant son, Curtis Dean Force.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Rick Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow at Peavey Cemetery of Jasonville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the service on Monday.
