Helen Spencer, 90, of Worthington, passed away at 4:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Clay City to Sherman and Ethel (Stwalley) McKee.

She was a homemaker, retired from Worthington IGA in 1995 after 31 years service, and a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Floyd Spencer, Bloomfield, Roxanna (George) Sparks, Worthington and Kathy (Douglas) Salter, Cloverdale; three grandchildren, Mike, Bill and Jason; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Brandon and Jenna; three step-grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Fielder, Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Arthur McKee; two sisters, Katherine Herrington and Moleta Stalcup; one step-great granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
