Raymond Goodson Storms, 86, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Manor Care South. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born May 27, 1923, in Linton, to Herschel and Hazel (Sanders) Storms. He married Martha W. Bellamy on May 17, 1940. She preceded him in death on October 31, 2004. He is survived by three daughters; Sherry A. (Bill) Bolyard, Myra (Ray) Storms, Crystal (James) Zuroske, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons; Roger Kent Storms and Emery Raymond Storms; three brothers, and two sisters.
He was employed for 25 years by Ford Motor Co. as a General Foreman, having retired in 1983. Raymond's hobbies were writing books and poems.
He was a member of the Beech Grove Masonic Lodge, the Indianapolis Murat Shrine, American Legion & V.F.W Beech Grove Post.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Pastor Greg Allison will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Military Graveside honors.
