William R. (Bill) Isenogle, 85, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1924 in Marion County to William Cyrus and Rebecca (Lester) Isenogle.
Bill served his country in World War II with the U.S. Army. After the war, he attended Wabash College prior to graduating from Indiana University with a degree in education. After teaching at Pennville and Ben Davis in Indianapolis, he came to Greene County where he taught school before joining the faculty at Bloomfield High School. Bill left teaching to take a job with the federal government at what is now NSWC, retiring in 1988.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Jay Isenogle; and one sister, Emma Jean Skomp.
Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Lou; three sons, Paul David (Susan), Bruce (Kyla), both of Bloomfield and Mike (Beth) of Solsberry. Two daughters Jan Isenogle of Bloomfield and Kelly (Richard) Hall of Georgia; one sister, Margaret Ellis of Linton; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He wishes were to be cremated. Services are pending at a later date.
