LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one request for information only, one assist to the utility department after hours, one protective order violation, one funeral escort, two medical/illness, one prowler, one suspicious vehicle or person, one burglary, one reckless driver, one traffic control, one welfare check/concern, one shoplifting, one community relations and seven traffic stops.
* March 15 -- Police are investigating the theft of a wallet after a Linton resident said he lost the wallet while he was at the Beer Cave at approximately 12:40 p.m. and that it contained $250 cash. Another person said another male had found the wallet and left the store with it. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
* March 15 -- An Indiana license plate with number 534DDQ was reported as stolen off of a vehicle that was parked overnight in the parking lot of the Linton Library. The theft occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. March 14. LPD Reserve Officer Wayman Blazier is the investigating officer.
* March 16 -- A theft from the Dollar General Store was foiled Tuesday afternoon after employees saw a woman placing items in her purse. They called police. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen responded and approached the woman while she was still in the store. The police report states she admitted to having the items but said she was going to pay for them.
* March 14 -- Josh W. Bolin, disregarding stop sign
