GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* March 31-- John L. Featherston, 23, Terre Haute, was arrested for contempt of court and was being held in lieu of $1,500 bond.

* March 31 -- Christopher B. Young, 31, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear and was being held in lieu of $5,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Lt. Bryan Woodall was the arresting officer.

* March 31 -- Kevin S. Walton, 36, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Adam Davis was the arresting officer.

* March 31 -- Fred E. Wright, 55, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* April 1 -- Cody Lee Skinner, 20, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Special Deputy Bruce Porter was the arresting officer.

* April 1 -- Daniel Lee Grubb, 20, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant and was being held in lieu of $15,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Special Deputy Bruce Porter was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included two follow-up investigations, one incident of vandalism, one drug investigation, one school/foot patrol, three accidents with property damage, one medical/illness, one alarm, three harassment complaints, one attempted burglary, one theft-other, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one ordinance violation, one battery and three traffic stops.

* March 30 -- Police investigated an incident of intimidation that was reported to have occurred on NW J Street. The police report says a 23-year-old male in a vehicle was dropping off a friend but when leaving, another male shouted profanities and began running toward the vehicle with a large object in his hands as if he was going to strike the driver with the object. The argument was in reference to another situation currently under investigation by police. The driver drove away to avoid the confrontation and no charges were filed. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was the investigating officer.

* March 31 -- A resident reported his vehicle had been struck sometime last week but he was not sure where it happened. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was the investigating officer.

* March 31 -- A drive-off theft of fuel was reported by the Chuckles gas station on NE A St. Around 2:50 p.m., an individual driving a charcoal gray Dodge Stratus pumped $2.98 worth of gas then drove off without paying. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* March 31 -- A resident reported an attempted burglary into his 2003 Cardinal fifth-wheel RV that was parked at Sunset Campgrounds. The resident said the keyhole had been drilled out but entry was not gained into the RV. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* March 31 -- Police are investigating an incident of battery resulting in bodily injury that was reported to have occurred along the roadway at NE E Street and NE 11th St. An 18-year-old female was punched in the face and neck area. The police report states the victim was walking east on NE E St. with a 15-year-old male witness when an 18-year-old suspect and the suspect's mother pulled up to them in a vehicle. The victim and the suspect exchanged profanities to one another. The suspect then exited the vehicle and began hitting the victim. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels is the investigating officer.
