Kathleen Mary Swihart, 60, of Bloomfield, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday April 6, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Bloomington.
Born Jan. 29, 1950 in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of Clyde and Rita (McKenna) Conley.
Kathleen was a self employed business owner of Distinctive Homes Incorporated near Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include her husband Bruce L. Swihart of Bloomfield; her sisters and brother; Nancy Erwin of Bristol, Ind., Sharron Strati of Elkhart, Bob Conley of Elkhart, Maureen Leyden of Leesburg, Fla., Nora Jewell of Granger; her mother-in-law, Barbara Jewett of Goshen; and her father-in-law Norman C. Swihart of Goshen.
Kathleen was preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Davis and Marcia Arcuri; and her parents.
The family will receive friends for remembrance from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 9, and noon until the hour of service on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Wendy VanderZee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Kathleen wishes any donations be made to the Bloomington Animal Shelter or Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
