LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one illegal burn, one title check, one follow-up investigation, one request for information only, one for lifting assistance, one fight, two juveniles/delinquent, three assists to the utility department after hours, one protective order violation, one disorderly conduct, two vehicle fires, one brush fire, three accidents with personal injury, seven accidents with property damage, one lost and found, one hazardous materials disposal-wash down, two off-road vehicle complaints, four medical/illness, one alarm, four animal complaints, one VIN check, three suspicious vehicles/persons, three assists to other agencies, one domestic battery, one attempted burglary, one disabled/stranded vehicle, two welfare checks/concerns, one assist to the fire department, one domestic dispute, two ordinance violations, one battery, one ordinance violation warning and 16 traffic stops.
* April 9 -- Police are investigating incidents of harassment involving unwanted telephone calls reported by a woman who has a temporary restraining order against the caller. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer.
* April 11 -- Ashley M. Patterson, 22, Linton, was arrested Sunday at approximately 3:33 a.m. after police received a call about an erratic driver, possibly intoxicated, in a silver 2002 Jeep eastbound on State Road 54. The vehicle was located by LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes. He was following when he observed an equipment violation (no license plate light) and reported the vehicle was traveling approximately 20 mph and swerving. When the vehicle was stopped near the Taco Bell restaurant, the officer determined she had been drinking and was taken to the police department for field sobriety tests -- she failed all according to the police report. She was then transported to Greene County General Hospital for a blood draw then to the Greene County Jail where she was booked in on two counts related to operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $4,000. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer. Officer Tom Jerrells assisted on the scene.
* April 12 -- Robert Jason Clifft, 33, Bloomfield was arrested on Saturday after his vehicle was stopped at approximately 6:16 p.m. Clifft was westbound on State Road 54 near NE 4th St. when he was observed driving while not wearing a seatbelt. Clifft was pulled over for the seatbelt violation but when officers ran a check on his drivers information they learned he was wanted on a warrant issued in Lincoln County, Missouri on a petition to revoke. The warrant confirmed full extradition. Clifft was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail without incident. LPD Reserve Officer Brock Garrison was the investigating officer. Officer Tom Jerrells assisted on the scene.
