LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one trespassing incident, one request for information only, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one lost and found, three medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, one suspicious vehicle/person, one reckless driver, one lost or stolen license plate, one welfare check/concern and four traffic stops.
* April 13 -- Asset Protection Associates at WalMart reported they witnessed a juvenile select a digital camera, go to the clothing section to dispose of the plastic case then place the camera in his pocket. They followed him past all points of sale then stopped him outside the store with the merchandise in his pocket. He was taken to the office, police were contacted and he was released to the custody of his mother.
* April 16 -- A theft of fuel was reported by the Country Porch gas station. A woman driving a red car pumped $20 worth of gas on April 13 and wrote a check which would not clear so the woman said she would come back in the next day to pay for the gas. She did not return. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.
