LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one incident of fraud, two accidents with personal injury, one lost and found, one alarm, one suspicious vehicle or person, one harassment complaint, one welfare check/concern and 11 traffic stops.
* April 20 -- An incident of check fraud was reported by Angell's Food Center after a check written on a business account for $347.69 was returned by the bank because the account did not exist. Police are investigating. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.
* April 20 --Police, fire and ambulance personnel responded to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Main and Vincennes Streets at approximately 6:15 p.m. One vehicle was westbound on Vincennes and another was southbound on Main when the one on Main disregarded a red light at the intersection and traveled into the other vehicle's path. No serious injuries were reported but property damage was estimated between $5,000-10,000. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer.
