LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one request for information, one custody dispute/exchange, one incident of shots fired, one vehicle fire, one medical/illness, one harassment complaint, one theft-other, one welfare check/concern, one ordinance violation and seven traffic stops.
* April 23 -- A resident on SE 7th St. reported an act of vandalism occurred in the evening. He said he noticed the lock on his shed was broken and the lock on his ATV was cut but nothing was missing. LPD Reserve Officer Wayman Blazier, the investigating officer, was assisted by Reserve Officer Tim Riggleman
* April 24 -- A resident on SE 8th St. reported a burglary occurred after he left his home around 3 p.m. He said he did leave the doors unlocked and when he returned around 8 p.m., he noticed someone had entered his residence without permission and taken a Playstation 3 game console. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was the investigating officer.
* April 26 -- Police are investigating an incident of breaking and entering and theft that occurred sometime after 2 p.m. on April 25 at Green Creek Builders at 325 SE 12th St. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen, the investigating officer, is working with Det. Duane Collenbaugh in an ongoing investigation. Missing items include copper wire, Dewalt tools, a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster plasma cutter and other items.
