The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one refusal to leave, one illegal burn, one seatbelt complaint, one title check, two assists to the utility department after hours, one structure fire, one missing or runaway juvenile, three accidents with personal injury, two accidents with property damage, one medical/illness, two suspicious vehicles/persons, one child abuse investigation, one reckless driver, one domestic dispute, one abandoned vehicle, one battery and 10 traffic stops.
* May 3 -- No injuries were reported following an accident involving two vehicles at 7:41 p.m. on State Road 54. One vehicle turned north from the highway onto NE 3rd St. Another vehicle was attempting to turn into a parking lot of a restaurant at the intersection and was struck on the driver's side by the other vehicle. Driver distraction was listed as the cause of the accident. Property damage was estimated between $1,000-2,500. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the arresting officer.
* May 3 -- No injuries were reported following an accident involving two vehicles at 9:05 p.m. on State Road 54. One vehicle was southbound on NE 4th St. and disregarded an automatic signal to stop, entered the highway into the path of another vehicle that was westbound. The two collided. Damage was estimated between $5,000-10,000. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer.
* May 4 -- Police investigated a possible battery reported by a woman who said the father of her small child father (they are not married) came and took the baby away from her. Neither has been to court. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer. LPD Reserve Deputy Kyle Butler assisted.
