The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one request for information, one assist to the utility department after hours, one utility repair call, one accident with personal injury, one medical/illness, one welfare check/concern, two fingerprints for gun permits, one domestic dispute and one battery.
* May 5 -- Police investigated a report of a battery that allegedly occurred at a convenience store around 8 p.m. A woman said she was at the store when a man started yelling at her boyfriend over a previous incident. The police report states words were exchanged and then the man allegedly spit on the woman. The boyfriend then allegedly punched the man as he was sitting in a car but he did not complain of pain or show any signs of a battery. A report and the statements taken have been forwarded to the Greene County Prosecutor's Office for review. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the investigating officer.
