The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one illegal burn, one title check, one request for information, one assist to the utility department after hours, one incident of criminal mischief, three alarms, four animal complaints, one theft-other, one community relations and one traffic stop.

* May 6 -- A male resident reported an alleged theft of gasoline from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. He said he put $10 worth of gas in at a gas station, then parked it, but when he went out that night, it was empty. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* May 6 -- Police are investigating an act of vandalism at Green Creek Builders located at 325 SE 12th Street. Sometime after 5 p.m. on May 5, windows on the north side of the building along the railroad tracks were broken out by rocks. A total of eight panes were broken. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer.
