He was born in Linton, on Nov. 29, 1957 to Loren Ray and Ruby (Clayton) Baker. Dana married Holly D. (Anderson) on Feb. 23, 2002.
Dana was employed with IMI Irving Materials Inc. in Sullivan as a concrete truck driver and was formerly employed with Abram and Hawkins in Linton. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He also enjoyed playing music as a bass guitar player with the group Tameless.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Baker of Emerald Isle, NC; wife, Holly Baker; three daughters, Loreesa Mae Baker, Rayahna Dana`e and Aubrey Danielle Webb, all at home; one sister, Lorna (Ray) Hinnant of Selma, NC; and one nephew, Clayton Harris of Raleigh, NC.
Dana was preceded in death by his father Loren Baker and one son Jeffery Alan Baker.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday
