E. James McKamey, 81, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.
James was born Nov. 28, 1928 in Bloomington, the son of Estel James and Lesta (Hunter) Adkins.
James was an U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post # 196 and the Bloomfield Odd Fellows. James was a retired Engineering Supervisor at Crane.
Surviving relatives include his wife Rosemary McKamey of Bloomfield; his children. Joy Stone (David) of New Castle, James Lee McKamey (Della) of Bloomfield, Jerry McKamey (Diana) of Bloomington, Janice Toon (Gary) of Bloomfield, and Jaci Guerena (Bryan) of Corvallis, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and three great -grandchildren; one aunt, Marjorie Hunter of Greenville, South Carolina.
James was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffery Lowell McKamey; and three sisters, Mable Rogers, Jerry Rowe and Georgia Eberle.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Long officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Scotland Cemetery.
