The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one illegal burn, one title check, one assist to the utility department after hours, one school/foot patrol, one funeral escort, two medical/illness, one possibly intoxicated driver, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one arrest-wanted on a warrant, one domestic dispute, one ordinance violation and 10 traffic stops.
* May 26 -- Brandi C. Deckard, 28, Bloomfield, was arrested at approximately 7 p.m. after the LPD received several complaints about an erratic or impaired driver in an older model gray four-door passenger car. One of the callers called in again and said the vehicle was at the Shoe Show store. Officers located the vehicle sitting in the parking lot of the store. After checking on the welfare of the occupants, an officer determined Deckard was intoxicated. The police report states she failed all standard field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail where her bond was set at $500. A charge of public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor, was filed against her in Greene Superior Court. The investigating officer, LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes, was assisted by LPD Officer Debbie McDonald.
* May 26 -- Mark K. Perez, 42, Linton, was arrested during the early morning hours at the intersection of South Main and SE B Streets. The police report states an officer found Perez on the corner in a state of intoxication. He was given standard field sobriety tests and failed all. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail. He was booked in at 2:30 a.m. on a preliminary charge of public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor and was being held on $500 bond. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer. Other LPD officers who assisted included Det. Josh Goodman, Cpl. Chad Crynes and Cpl. Paul Clark.
