* June 15 -- Roy L. Ward III, 24, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Linton Police Officer Tom Jerrels was the arresting officer.

* June 15 -- Roy L. Ward III, 24, Linton, was arrested after an officer saw him exiting the WalMart store. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was aware there was an active warrant out for his arrest. Ward was taken into custody without incident at approximately 9:44 p.m. and transported to the Greene County Jail where his bond was set at $4,000. Jail records list his occupation as unemployed. The warrant was issued after a preliminary charge of battery resulting in bodily injury to a minor, a class D felony, was filed against Ward in Greene Circuit Court.
