LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one incident of trespassing, one fraud, one follow-up investigation, one fight, three assists to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, one custody dispute/exchange, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, two suicides or attempted suicides, one medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, one child abuse, one reckless driver, one lost or stolen license plate, one welfare check/concern, one domestic dispute, one battery and one traffic stop.
* June 17 -- Police are investigating an incident of battery by hand and bodily waste after a man reported a woman had struck him numerous times and then spit on him. They had been in a verbal argument. The incident was recorded on a video surveillance system. LPD Det. Josh Goodman is the investigating officer.
* June 17 -- A resident reported a missing license plate that was not believed to have been stolen. She sold a vehicle and removed the plate before the buyer left with the vehicle. The plate may have been left lying on the back of the vehicle and was lost somewhere on the roadway. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer.
* June 17 -- Police responded to the scene of an accident involving two vehicles, one driver on NE A Street. A 16-year-old male driver was backing out of a parking spot and struck another parked vehicle. No injuries were reported but both vehicles suffered damage. LPD Reserve Officer Waymon Blazier was the investigating officer.
