Phillip Lowell Wasnidge, 80, of Jasonville, died at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born December 25, 1929 in Jasonville, he was the son of Lowell Wasnidge and Olive (Yeryar) Wasnidge.
Retired from Pfizer after 42 years. Phillip was a member of Jasonville American Legion Post # 172. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Naomi Wasnidge, whom he married April 4, 1952; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Rick Hall of Jasonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Sheila Wasnidge of Jasonville; brothers and sisters-in-law,Claude Wasnidge of Jasonville, Jerry Wasnidge of Jasonville; a sister, Dejah Wier of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jessica Irish, Shane Wasnidge, Logan Lynch, Caleb Wasnidge, Ryan Hall, Jennifer Lay, Stephanie Burnett; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and Nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street,in Jssonville.
Funeral Service will be at noon Wednesday with Pastor Dean Hartman and Pastor Warren Allen officiating.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with military graveside rites.
