M. Kathleen (Hill) Burt, 81, of Linton, passed away June 20, 2010 at rural Linton.
Born July 30, 1928 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Clifford Hill and Mabel (Dearinger) Hill.
She was a homemaker and past member of Flat Rock Eastern Star and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Linton. She graduated from Manilla High School in 1946. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.
She is survived by daughters Ann (J.D.) Bullock of Norfolk, Va., Sue Burt of Hope, Ind.,Janice Ledford, Shelbyville, Brenda (Jody) Troiber of Linton; sons, William N. (Carla) Burt, Jr. of Hope, Ind. and Roger (Sherri) Burt of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Snyder of Shelbyville; a brother, Robert Hills of Waldron; a sister-in-law, Glenna Crabb of Tuckerman, Ark.; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William N. Burt, whom she married Aug. 19, 1947 (he died on Oct. 27, 2008); and one grandson.
Visitation will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel in Shelbyville.
An Eastern Star service and funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Bartlett officiating.
Burial will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
