JAIL LOG

* June 21 -- Raul J. Sepulveda, 30, Springville, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Bloomfield Police Lt. Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.

* June 21 -- Ginger M. Kendall, 33, Shelburn, was arrested on a warrant, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on June 28. Greene County Sheriff's Special Deputy Lee Condol was the arresting officer.

* June 21 -- Johnny J. Turpin, 19, Worthington, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Linton Police Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one incident of breaking and entering, one refusal to leave, two requests for information, one juvenile/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, two accidents with personal injury, two accidents with property damage, four medical/illness, one animal complaint, one suspicious vehicle or person, one harassment complaint, one child abuse/neglect, and two traffic stops.

* June 21 -- Johnny J. Turpin, Jr., 19, Worthington was arrested after his vehicle was stopped at approximately 9:27 p.m. at NW 8th and Vincennes Streets in Linton because the driver and a passenger were not wearing their seatbelts. The officer determined that the driver, Turpin, had been drinking. The officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage when he approached the vehicle. Turpin was given field sobriety tests but the police report says he failed all and was taken to the police department for a breath test. The report states he tested at .10 percent blood-alcohol content. Turpin was arrested, transported to the Greene County Jail and booked in on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $4,000. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes was the investigating officer. Officer Thomas Jerrels assisted on the scene.
