Nora Mae McAtee, 91, of Linton, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Glenburn Home.

She was born in Knox County on May 25, 1919 to Albert Clarence and Anna Mary (Strahle) Miller. On August 2, 1947 she married Hubert McAtee and they had four children.

Nora was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hubert McAtee of Linton; two daughters, Merrilee (Robert) Shelton of Carrollton, TX and Marsha (John) Richards of Linton; two sons, Wes McAtee of Bloomington and John (Ruth) McAtee of Cedar Hills, UT; 13 grandchildren: Corey Shelton of Carrollton, TX, Barry (Amber) Shelton of McKinney, TX, Tara Shelton of Chesapeake, VA, Ben Shelton and fiancÚ, Kristen, of Pittsburgh, PA, Chris (Rachell) Richards of Terre Haute, Mike (Stacy) Richards of Dayton, OH, Bryan (Jannie) Richards of Brigham City, UT, Aaron Richards of Linton, Elisa (Ryan) Parker of Bristol, WI, Joni McAtee of Sacramento, CA, Jesse (Danielle) McAtee of Newark, DE and Josh and Dan McAtee of Cedar Hills, UT; fifteen great-grandchildren, Xander, Landon, Collin and Quinn Shelton of Texas, Ashley, Jarrett and Emma Richards of Lyons, Joey Taylor of Terre Haute, Katelyn Richards of Dayton, OH, Natalie, Chandler and Brandon Richards of Brigham City, UT, Shane and Sara Parker of Bristol, WI and Myles Burger of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are two sisters, June (Fred) Harlan of Terre Haute and Rachel (Ed) Groves of Clinton, one brother, Dick (Elda) Miller of Triangle, VA and long time family friend, Diana (Dan) Lahmann of Linton.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, two brothers, Roy and John Miller and one sister, Ruth Miller.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4-89 p.m. on Friday, July 2 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, July 3.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
