Anna Louise (Greves) Sparks, 89 of Switz City, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born September 23, 1920 in Lowe the county seat of Moultrie Illinois, she was daughter of Ray and Elizabeth Greves. On June 15, 1940 she married Glen M. Sparks.
She was a homemaker, school cafeteria cook and worked in women's retail fashion stores. She was a member of the Lyons Church of Christ.
Survivors include: a son, Donald Sparks and his wife Carol of O'Fallon, IL; a daughter, Glenda Sue Headley of Switz City; five grandchildren, Dan and Jan Scully of Dana, Doug and Lisa Sparks of Avon, Jay and Teresa English of Lyons, Chad English of Worthington and Tim and Jennifer Brown of Bloomfield; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Greves and his wife, Phyllis, of Bloomfield; one sister Mary Martha McKee and her husband, Bill, of Lyons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, William Robert Sparks; and son-in-law, Dave Headley.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Lyons Church of Christ with Brother Mike Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
There will be an Open House in honor of Louise at the Switz City Fire Department starting at 5:30 p.m. stop by and share your memories of Louise.
