Harold Franklin Iverson, 90, of Greenwood, passed away July 12, 2010.
He was born in Beulah, Mich. on March 5, 1920 to Frank O. and Emma M. (Lentz) Iverson.
He married Irene Hodges on Aug. 10, 1941.
She preceded him in death on February 25, 2010.
He is survived by daughters, Janice Jenkins, Denise Rigdon, and two sons, Mark and George Iverson; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
He attended high school at George Rogers Clark and college at Indiana University where he received his BME, and MM Degrees and the Cream & Crimson Award.
He was a music teacher at Solsberry, Ellettsville, Paoli, Southport, Perry Central Jr. High School and Keystone Middle School.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran.
He was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church, Solsberry Masonic Lodge No. 411 F. & A.M., Indianapolis Moose Lodge No. 17, Indianapolis Local No. 3 American Federation of Musicians, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Perry Township Retired Teachers Association, Indianapolis Chapter of Piano Technicians Guild, American Legion Post #252.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy 7th Fleet Band.
Friends may call at the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 481 West Main, Greenwood, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Forest Memory Gardens where a military graveside service will be held.
