He is breathing celestial air and walking on streets of gold!
Jim was born in Linton, to Hubert and Katherine Burress, who preceded him in death.
He moved to Evansville in 1964 and worked for Indiana Bell, then Ameritech until his retirement in 1994. Jim was a member and on the board of the East Side Pilgrim Holiness Church and a member of the association of Union Bible College in Westfield, Ind. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and friends. Jim loved people and had a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a smile for everyone he met. Most of all, Jim loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He lived a life of faithfulness to God and was an example to all who knew him. Jim will be greatly missed by his friends and family but has reached his goal in life and is with Jesus, the One he loved the most.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Sharel Ann (Richardson) Burress of Evansville; four children, Kathy Ann Tilley (Dan) of Kodak, TN, Rebecca Sue Glick (Jerald) of Westfield, James Keith Burress of Atlanta, GA (Rebecca of Greenwood), Stephen Wesley Burress of Key West, FL; eight grandchildren,
