* July 28 -- A hit-and-run accident was reported by a Coal City woman who was pulling out of the parking lot at the Beer Cave around midnight. She told police a red full-size truck pulled in and side-swiped the passenger side of her car with the passenger side of the truck, then left the scene. No injuries were reported and damage was reported to be minimal. Linton Police Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.
