The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one title check, three follow-up investigations, two requests for information, one fight, one assist to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, one criminal mischief, three accidents with property damage, four medical/illness, one alarm, one animal complaint, two suspicious vehicles/persons, two assists to other agencies, one burglary, one harassment complaint, one possibly intoxicated driver, one reckless driver, one extra patrol, one attempted burglary, one other theft, one delivery of a message, two welfare checks, one domestic dispute, one community relations, one open garage door, four ordinance violations, four batteries and 14 traffic stops.
* An attempted break-in to the old library building was reported to police. The report says a door to the upstairs was damaged like someone tried to break-in. This occurred at an unknown time July 29-30. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the investigating officer.
* Aug. 1 -- Brandon L. Puckett, operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement, disregarding a traffic control device, speeding
* July 31 -- Patrick L. Switzer, speeding
