The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one report of a fight, one assist to the utility department after hours, one structure fire, one accident with property damage, one animal complaint, two assists to other agencies, one harassment complaint, one theft and two traffic stops.
* Aug. 10 -- A resident on NW J Street reported the theft of two 215 15-inch truck tires and rims from the bed of a truck sometime within the last two weeks. He also reported an unknown person had entered his residence and took $120 and a McDonald's card out of his wallet. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* Aug. 10 -- An accident involving two vehicles occurred around 9:45 p.m. on private property along State Road 54. One of the vehicles was unattended in a parking lot when a driver in another vehicle backed up and sideswiped the parked vehicle. Both vehicles were damaged but no injuries were reported. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels was the investigating officer, assisted by LPD Cpl. Paul Clark.
