The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one follow-up investigation, three requests for information, one juvenile/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, one sex offense reported, one disorderly conduct, one structure fire, one lost and found, two medical/illness, one alarm, one animal complaint, two assists to other agencies, one burglary, one harassment complaint, one fingerprint for misc., one domestic dispute, one battery and three traffic stops.

* Aug. 20 -- Ryan M. Dotson, 27, Linton, was arrested at approximately 11:15 p.m. on County Road 1100W near Mobile Manor. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes said he received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver at the Taco Bell parking lot and he then located and attempted to stop the suspect vehicle leaving the lot. However, the police report states the suspect, Dotson, refused to stop until he pulled into his residence. Dotson failed field sobriety testing and was taken to the Linton Police Department where he failed a certified breath test with results showing .20 BAC. Dotson was transported and booked in to the Greene County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction and resisting law enforcement. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark and Officer Nick Yingling assisted Cpl. Crynes.

* Aug. 21 -- A resident reported a "hit-and-run" accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. when they were westbound on Baseline Rd. The resident reported a four-wheeler was northbound on SE 7th St., failed to stop and struck the resident's van in the rear quarter panel then fled the scene on the railroad tracks. LPD Officer Debbie McDonald was the investigating officer.

* Aug. 22 -- A female resident of Mobile Manor reported an incident of vandalism occurred after a male suspect came to her residence around 11 p.m. but when she didn't answer the door, started to beat on her car window and continued to do so until the window broke. Then he left the scene. LPD Officer Nick Yingling is the investigating officer.

* Aug. 22 -- A resident on NW 3rd St. reported an incident of breaking and entering occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. The resident came home to find a screen off a window and inside, noticed a cell phone was on the table, a jewelry chest was open, and there was Dr. Pepper in the fridge. LPD Officer Nick Yingling is the investigating officer.
