She was retired from General Electric in Linton, after 26 years of service, was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge, all of Linton, and was of the Lutheran faith. She was a graduate of Jasonville High School.
Survivors include three daughters, Marlene Reedy-Krenk of Nashville, TN, Charlene Reedy --Witt of Farmersburg and Rebecca Reedy-Johnson of Linton; a son, Donald Reedy of Jasonville; three brothers, Frank Ray Denny, Everett Denny, and Norman Denny; a sister, June West; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Gore-Harbaugh of Terre Haute, April Johnson of Bloomington, Gary "Bubba" Johnson of Linton, Kelly Krenk-Kirksey of Atlanta, Jay Krenk of Nashville, Robert Witt of Terre Haute, Jamie Witt-Cox of Terre Haute, Kara DeWitt of Plainfield and Adi Eckard of Memphis, TN; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don "Frog" Russell; a brother, Freeman Harold Denny; and a sister, Hazel Talpay.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Brad Darr officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and at 10 a.m. Friday prior to the services.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home.
