The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one illegal burn, one title check, one vehicle fire, two medical/illness, three animal complaints, two suspicious vehicles/persons, one complaint of harassment, one domestic dispute, one animal/canine removed and 14 traffic stops.
* Sept. 12 -- Ezekiel Thomas Morrow, 20, Linton, was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail after officers were dispatched to the rear parking area behind the Palace Bar at approximately 2:30 a.m.
LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels, the investigating officer, responded along with LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes.
According to the police report, several subjects fled into the bar when the officers arrived on the scene and Morrow was being restrained on the ground.
The report states Officer Jerrels attempted to speak to Morrow but he begtan swearing and walked away from the officer. When Morrow ignored an order to stop for the third time, Morrow was physically restrained then handcuffed.
Morrow was booked in on preliminary charges of public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, released on bond and scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Friday.
On Tuesday, the initial charges filed in Greene Superior Court included public intoxication, a class B misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
