The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included two illegal burns, one request for information only, one assist to the utility department after hours, one vehicle fire, one medical/illness, one alarm, two animal complaints, one child locked in vehicle, one suspicious vehicle/person, one reckless driver, one disabled or stranded vehicle, three domestic disputes, one shoplifting and seven traffic stops.
* Sept. 14 - Police were called to the WalMart store after loss prevention associates caught a 16-year-old male leaving the store without paying for a "Disturbed" music CD that was in the back pocket of his blue jeans. The suspect was with a parent when the incident occurred at approximately 12:12 p.m. Information for possible charges has been forwarded to the Greene County Probation Department. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh was the investigating officer.
