Donal Ray Foster, 87 of Rome, Ga., and formerly of Linton, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga.
He was born in Sandborn on Dec. 3, 1922, the son of Basal O'Neal and Anna (Russell) Foster. He worked as a mechanic and owned Deep Rock Service Station in Dugger before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Community Bible Church in Linton.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna R. Tebo (Charles) of Rome, Ga., a daughter-in-law, Toni Foster of Sullivan, grandchildren, Dale Foster, Charla Sewell, Steven Tebo, Carissa Emory, and Cheryl Ostrander, four great-grandchildren, three brothers, Gerald Foster of Linton, Prentis Foster of Elnora, and Wayne Foster of Vicksburg, and two sisters, Lucille Ronk of Odon and Bernis Boatman of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ruth (Bruner) Foster, a son, Larry Foster, two sisters, Jane Morgan and Elizabeth Foster, and three brothers, Bill, Malcom, and Paul Foster.
Visitation will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Graveside service will be at Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn at 12:30 on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 with his grandson, Pastor Dale Foster officiating.
