She was a 2006 graduate of Ivy Tech with a degree in human services. She had worked at Bright Beginnings Daycare in Bloomfield. Amanda was a volunteer at the Family Life Center in Bloomfield and at Greene County General Hospital in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father, Ricky Joe (Benita)Collins of Kettering, Ohio, her mother, Juanita Lapezynski of Jasonville, step-father, Dave Lapezynski of Jasonville, step-mother, Kim Collins of Switz City, a son, Trey Yoder at home, a daughter, Madison Hughes at home, her fiancÚ, Roy Zimmerman, and his son, Wyatt, of Linton, her grandparents, Leona Richards of Linton and Gary and Pat Woodall of Switz City, three sisters, Christina Collins of Jasonville, Heidi Busenburg of Switz City, and Stephanie (Dustin) Abel of Switz City, two uncles, Bryan (Tammy) Woodall and Ronnie (Rita) Richards, three aunts, Cheryl (Jeff) Snider, Debbie (Randy) Rehmel, and Sue (Doug) Neal,and several nieces and nephews that she adored.
She was preceded in death by a niece, Hanna Marie Collins.
Funeral service will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.
Visitation will at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Private burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Dugger at a later date.
