The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included two requests for information, one for lifting assistance, one utility repair detail, one property dispute, one public intoxication, three medical/illness, one alarm, one animal complaint, one suspicious vehicle/person, one assist to another agency, one extra patrol, one disabled or stranded vehicle, one arrest-wanted on warrant and one vehicle/property recovered.
* Sept. 28 -- Jack Fry, 45, Linton, was arrested at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the police station on NW A Street. The police report states Fry was banned out of the Bottoms Up Bar and began walking in the downtown area, crossing the highway and arriving at the police department where an officer observed him in an apparent state of intoxication. Fry was transported to the Greene County Jail where he was booked in on a preliminary charge of public intoxication. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* Sept. 29 -- Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief and battery upon a Linton woman involving a male suspect who allegedly pushed the woman down trying to get a phone from her and when the altercation was over, kicked a chair and broke it. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. Police were initially unable to locate the suspect but the case remains active. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes is the investigating officer and is being assisted by Officers Tom Jerrels and Brock Garrison.
