Frances L. Yoho, 84, of Bloomfield, departed from this life Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital following a long illness.
She was born October 10, 1926 to Kava Meredith Sharr and James Sharr.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, one son Toby C. Yoho and sister Margaret Crane.
She was a member of the Faith Christian Church of Bloomfield, Eastern Star in Solsberry, Tri Kappa Sorority and the Ladies of Faith.
Frances held numerous jobs throughout her life including working at Sarkes Tarzian's, NWSC Crane, Peoples Gas, First Christian Church as secretary, and retired after serving many years as Bloomfield Town Hall Deputy Clerk. Frances was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She faithfully serves anyone who was hurting or needed help of any kind, always providing food, money, babysitting, cleaning or transportation. She constantly encourages others with flowers, gifts and cards.
A true Christian and dearly loves, she will be especially missed by those who survive her, including her husband Robert C. Yoho of Bloomfield, her son Robert Scott and wife Shelli Yoho of Bloomfield, daughter-in-law, Nellie R. Yoho and husband David R. Stille of Bloomington, and three granddaughters, Charissa L. of Bloomfield; Kristina L. of Kaiserslauter, Germany; Kimberly L. of Orlando, Fla. Also surviving are one sister Betty Fisher of Hollywood, Florida, sisters-in-law, Pearl Rollins and Kathleen Yoho, both of Bloomfield, and brothers-in-law Walter Yoho and Jim Yoho of Bloomfield and Bill Thacker of Solsberry. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends and family.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 and 9 a.m. until the hour Friday all at the Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday Oct. 22, 2010 at the Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Henry Mann Jr. and Rev. Arlen Pope officiating.
Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Toby Yoho Memorial Scholarship Fund in her honor.
Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of the arrangments.
