The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one fight, one custody dispute/exchange, two civil complaints, one public intoxication, one disorderly conduct, two accidents with property damage, one harassment complaint, one theft, one animal/debris in roadway, one welfare check, one assist to the utility department, one arrest-wanted on warrant, one community relations, two batteries, one warning on an ordinance violation and four traffic stops.
The activity log for Monday included one request for information only, one fight, one custody dispute/exchange, one brush fire, two accidents with property damage, one medical/illness, one VIN check, one domestic dispute and four traffic stops.
* Oct. 8 -- A resident reported an incident of criminal mischief occurred in the evening in the WalMart parking lot when a white extended cab pickup truck pulled up and a man jumped out and broke the window's out of the resident's car. While the resident was at work, she got a message from her ex-husband calling her a name then stating he had just "busted out" her car windows. The ex-husband/suspect had been at her workplace earlier, was intoxicated and was asked to leave. According to the police report, there was a witness to this incident and information was forwarded to the prosecutor's office for possible criminal charges. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark was the investigating officer.
* Oct. 13 -- A resident reported a hit-and-run accident occurred at her residence on SE 7th St. that damaged her parked vehicle. The resident said she was unaware that an accident had taken place but a family member came in and told her the mirror on her vehicle was damaged. When she checked, fragments of the mirror were on the road. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the investigating officer.
* Oct. 18 -- Kaylan Marie Wade, 20, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Vigo County in connection with a petition to revoke her probation on a conviction of possession of marijuana. Wade was in the area of State Road 54 and Green Acres at 10:21 p.m. when she was stopped for speeding. When the officer ran a check on her identity, the information came back that she was wanted. Wade was taken into custody, transported to the Greene County Jail where she was held without bond, then transferred to Vigo County where her bond was expected to be $2,500 with 10 percent allowed. LPD Officer Brock Garrison was the arresting officer.
* Oct. 19 -- A Bloomfield woman reported the theft of her cell phone while she was a customer at the Sportsman's Pub in Linton around 12 midnight. She said there were two people sitting beside her at the bar and when she turned around to speak to another person, then turned back, her phone was missing. An officer spoke to both suspects and neither admitted to taking the phone. The case remains under investigation. LPD Officer Thomas Adam Jerrels is the investigating officer.
