Thanks for supporting Tour de Greene

To the editor:

On behalf of the Greene County Citizens' Academy Legacy Organization, Inc. (CALO) we would like to thank all of the participants and sponsors of our Inaugural "Tour De Greene" Road Rally and Motorcycle Ride.

The weather was excellent and the Greene County scenery spectacular. Participation was lighter than expected but everyone had a good time.

First place winners of the "Sport" division was the team consisting of Jewel Carmichael, driver and Pam Summerville, navigator. Second place team was Bob and Bonnie Jackson, and the third place team of Jessica Toon and Natosha Roudebush. Although there was no competition involved with the Motorcycle Ride, riders expressed what a great ride they had.

We would be remising if we failed to thank everyone who helped with the event. Our sponsors, consisting of: QT's Custom Active Wear, LeGrand Art Studio, Hidden Hills Golf Course, Kentucky Ridge Graphics, Linton Family Pharmacy, Casa del Muse Art Gallery and Studio, The Picnic Basket, Blue Jay Junction, Scotland Historical Society, J & J Storage, Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce, Greene County Citizen's Academy, Farmers & Mechanics, Primitive Décor & More, AFLAC Insurance, Hasler Oil Company, Ken's Barber & Style Shop, The Curiosity Shoppe, Hunter's Drive-In, Shields Hardware and Supply, Greene County Foundation, Greene County Daily World, Linton Stockton Chamber of Commerce, Shakamak Area Chamber of Commerce, Edward Jones-Bloomfield and South Central Indiana Antique Truck Club.

Without them, the event would not have been possible.

Lastly, a special thanks to the Greene County Daily World for printing articles publicizing the "Tour De Greene" event. We hope CALO has enriched the lives of those who participated in our Inaugural "Tour De Greene" Road Rally and Motorcycle Ride.

Hope to see everyone next year.
