Phyllis Lorene Holtsclaw,79, of Bloomfield, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Garden Villa of Bloomington.
Born Febr. 1, 1931 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Frank and Grace (Teague) Corwin.
She retired from GE as an inspector in 1994 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Cincinnati Christian Church, Home ec club and the Solsberry American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Susan Holtsclaw, one son, Randy Holtsclaw, sister, Naomi Bays, Grandchildren, Regan Holtsclaw and Riley Holtsclaw all of Indiana; brother and sister in-laws, Corine Huffman, Loren and Susan Holtsclaw, Max Holtsclaw and Wilma Corwin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Holtsclaw on May 16, 1970, one brother, Warren Corwin, one sister, Esther Roberts and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 12 at Cincinnati Christian Church, with Rev. Henry Mann Jr. and Rev. Tony Stinson officiating. Interment will be in Solsberry cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one-hour prior to services Friday all at the Cincinnati Christian Church. Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Cincinnati Christian Church Building Fund or Hospice of Bloomington Hospital.
