She was born in Jasonville on July 19, 1936 to Harry E. and Ruth (White) Anderson. She married her husband, Richard VanMeerten in Jasonville on Dec. 24, 1952.
She was a homemaker and a member of Jasonville First Baptist Church.
She also enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lynn Harmon and husband Royce of Franklin; her sons, James Burger of Jasonville, IN; and Wayne VanMeerten and wife Linda of Fordsville, KY; her Brother, James Anderson of Jasonville, IN; her daughter-In-law, Joann VanMeerten of Fordsville, KY; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Phillip VanMeerten; her sisters, Frances Bennett and Betty Ginter; and her brother, Clyde Anderson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville.
Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
