He was born, Nov. 9, 1937 in Greene County, the son of Jewell E. Keller and Anna Carolyn (Loveall) Keller.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette (Stringer) Keller, whom he married December 1974 and passed away Nov. 9, 1998; and his second wife, Nancy (Joly) Keller whom he married July 1, 2000 and passed away May 6, 2006.
He is survived by sons, Darrell R. Keller, Jr. of Jasonville, Barry Gene Keller of Carrolton, Ga., Zacharia Keller of Cory, and Jacob Levy Keller of Clay City; brothers, Donald Keller of Jasonville and Larry Keller of Jasonville; sisters, Helen Gardner of Switz City and Connie Bland of Jasper; seven step-children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded by his parents; son, Tony Keller; granddaughter; great-grandson; brothers, Phillip "Pete" Keller and Billy Paul Keller; sister, Judy (Keller) Castetter on Jan.17, 2006.
He was a member of the Lincoln Christian Church.
Darrell had worked at Sony Music where he was a group leader, supervisor, scheduler in shipping and receiving from January 1961 to July 1998.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Cox Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry McDonald officiating.
Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.
