Dee D. Archer, 79, of Linton passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Greene County on July 4, 1931, the son, of Basil D. Archer and Frances (Gentry) Archer.
Dee graduated from Midland High School, was an Army veteran in the Korean War, a medical technician at Greene County General Hospital and hospitals in Indianapolis, then retired as a truck driver/farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife, Carol Mae (Peoples) Archer in 1988, and one daughter, Jana D. Wilkes in 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Denise Brochin of Linton, four grandchildren, Dara Pilant (Greg), Clint Wilkes (Brandy), and Rich Wilkes (Dyan), Hanna Brochin, and three great grandchildren, Maelee and Darby Pilant and Dylan Wilkes, three cousins.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at the Switz City Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
Friends may call at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
