She was born Nov. 16, 1920 in Tulip, the daughter of Harley and Esther (Watson) Terrell.
Marjorie was a homemaker and had worked at RCA and Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington. When she was growing up she attended the Workman School. Marjorie and her late husband, Otis, had celebrated 70 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.
Surviving relatives include her children: Marvin K. Helms (Lela) of Bloomfield and Alice Faye Hallett (Denny) of Bloomington; seven grandchildren, Marla Helms Eschbacher (Paul) of St. Joseph, Mo.; Barbara Helms Hays (Quentin) of Loogootee, Michael L. Helms of Washington,Lorie Helms Richardson of Solsberry, Jeffrey Vandeventer (Bonnie) of Bloomfield, Julia Faye Vandeventer Cook (Jon) of Bloomington and Kenneth Koch of Missoula, Mont.; 24 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis O. Helms on June 17, 2007; two brothers Hulbert "Hub" Terrell and Albert Terrell; and one great granddaughter Katrina McDonald.
There will be no public visitation.
A graveside service will be at noon on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes all donations be made to the Carcinoid Research Fund or the Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis Association in care of Jenkins Funeral Home, 421 South Seminary Street Bloomfield, Ind. 47424.
