Thelma J. Hudson, 90, of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born on Sept 18, 1920 in Sandborn, to William Edward Clodfelder and Effie Bryant (Orr). On February 14, 1942, she married Harley A. Hudson.
Thelma was a member of the Sandborn Christian Church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #497 and Delts Sorority. Thelma's hobbies included cooking, gardening, playing the piano and organ. Thelma also enjoyed time spent with her family, of whom, she had great love and pride.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nancy E. Moore of Sandborn; two grandsons, Philip A. (Sharon) Catt of Westphalia and Chris Moore of Linton; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Moore of Linton. She is also survived by one sister, Pharoby Ann (Bob) Lehman of Martinsville, Indiana.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harley, one grandson, Stephen B. Catt, and one sister, Mary Louise Adams.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Sandborn Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Sandborn Christian Church with Bryan Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana.
Visitation hours will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Sandborn Christian Church in Sandborn. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 2, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
The Hudson family has entrusted these arrangements to the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
