Warren "Heavy" Sexton, 70, of Jasonville died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.
He was born March 6, 1940 at home in Jasonville, the son of Walter R. Sexton and Lillian (Easter) Sexton.
Survivors include: his wife, Sharon Rose (Neal) Sexton whom he married Aug. 6, 1993; sons and daughter in law, Jon and Reva Sexton of Lead, SD, Michael Sexton of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Cheryl Sexton, of Phoenix, AZ; step-children and spouses, Amber and Charlie Gabbard of Terre Haute, Dejah and Donnie Barron of Jasonville, Eric and Becky Smith of South Haven, 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Fern Sexton Jr. of Hanover; aunts, Phyllis Sexton of Jasonville, Dode Sexton of Jasonville, Doris Eccles of Sunrise, AZ; uncles, Jerry Easter of Buckeye, AZ and Fred Easter of Jasonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
He was a millwright at Bethleham Steele at Burnsharbour, IN plant for 37 years. He was a member of Millwrights Local Steelworkers Union District 07, Local #6787. Warren loved to ride his Harley and go traveling on it. He loved old cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed yard work and gardening after his retirement.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will follow Thursday evening visitation at the funeral home at 8 p.m. with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
