The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one assist to the utility department after hours, one funeral escort, two lost and found, one medical/illness, three alarms, two animal complaints, one assist to another agency, one message delivery, one welfare check/concern, one ordinance violation, two battery incidents and three traffic stops.
* Dec. 8 -- Police responded to a call about a male and female who were beating another female around 9:10 p.m. When they arrived, witnesses told them that two suspects, a 25-year-old male and a 19-year-old female, had started an altercation at the residence of the victim, hit her in the face, hit her numerous times in the head and pushed her to the ground. The case is still under investigation. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes is the investigating officer and was assisted on the scene by two other officers.
* Dec. 8 -- Police investigated a report of theft after a woman said she left her prescription medication in a rental car but the company said there was nothing found in the vehicle. LPD Officer Brock Garrison was the investigating officer.
* Dec. 9 -- Summer J. Sullivan, 19, Linton, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on a warrant issued on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. She was taken into custody after she came to the Linton Police Department to speak to an officer about an unrelated matter. The officer was aware there was a warrant out for her arrest. She was transported to the Greene County Jail where she was being held without bond. LPD Officer Thomas Jerrels was the arresting officer.
