Harry "Dale" Bargar, 96, formerly of Dugger and Linton, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, 2010 at his home in Fort Myers, Fla.

He was born in Cadez, Ohio on Dec. 12, 1913, the son of Harry Bargar and Alice Bargar.

He married Opal (Wheeler) Bargar in 1938. They were married 47 years, and she passed away Oct. 6, 1985.

Harry retired from Peabody Coal Co. in 1976 after 43 years, was a member of the Peace Community Church in Fort Myers, the Dugger Masonic Lodge 721 F &AM for 63 years, the United Mine Worker of America, the Moose Lodge, Zorah Shrine, and Scottish Rite.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Opal, two sons, Billy Mart Bargar, and Gale Ray Bargar, and one sister, Betty Kittle.

Survivors include two sons, Freddie Wayne Bargar (Myrna) of Dugger, Dale Lee Bargar (Anita) of Sebring, Fla., one daughter, Sierra Sue Hofmann (Gerald) of Seelyville, one sister, Ilene Yaw of Linton, 20 grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren, and his wife Mary Ann Bargar of Fort Myers, Fla.

Graveside service and Masonic Rites will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at the Dugger Cemetery with the Bro. Nick Moore officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk's Funeral Home.
